During my month of rest and replenishment in November, I decided to become more knowledgeable and active in working with angels. (Sidenote: If you’re also interested in working with angels, I highly recommend Corin Grillo’s The Angel Experiment.)
There are many, many angels you can call on for various needs, but the three I’m going to mention today are some of the MVPs.
You might be wondering, “OK, but how do I call on the angels?” It’s actually not as difficult as you might think. In fact, it’s super simple. You just pray to them. It can be aloud or in your head, but that’s all there really is to it. I do recommend that you take some deep breaths, center and ground yourself, though, so that their light is able to penetrate and hear your message.
Now, let’s talk about the three Archangels that are ready to help you out…
Archangel Michael: Archangel Michael tends to be referred to as the head honcho of the Archangels. His name means “he who is as God,” and is the one to call on for protection, releasing worry and creating safety. He is a fearless warrior, often depicted with a sword. He is considered a leader within the angelic realm and a patron angel of righteousness, mercy and justice. Archangel Michael is correlated with the color blue (you can envision yourself being protected by his blue flame), Lapis Lazuli, and numerous essential oils including Frankincense, Myrrh, Sage, and Lavender.
Archangel Raphael: Archangel Raphael, another one of my faves, is the archangel designated for physical and emotional healing. His name means “God heals,” and he not only helps in healing individuals, but also helps healers in their healing practice. He can help reduce addictions, heal injuries and illnesses, establish harmony and peace, and ensure safe travels. Archangel Raphael is associated with the color green, Emerald, and essential oils Lemon, Rose, Lavender, and Sandalwood, to name a few.
Archangel Jophiel: Archangel Jophiel, who is depicted as both feminine and masculine, is the patron saint of artists. Her name means “beauty of God,” and she helps us see and maintain the beauty in life, whether it’s through our thoughts or through creating and manifesting beauty in our surroundings and hearts. Archangel Jophiel also assists us in slowing down, heals negativity and chaos, helps to tame your ego, and boost confidence and self-love. She’s associated with the color yellow, Citrine, and scents like Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang, Frankincense, Lemon, Jasmine, and more.
Remember, there are many more angels ready to call on and help you, this is just to get your toes wet. I look forward to talking with you more about the angels soon. Until then, relish in the fact that you are never facing any hurdle alone, and help is always just a call away.
