Have you gotten the memo that skincare is crucial, yet? And no, I’m not just talking to the ladies. Fellas, this is for you, too.
Now, clearly, our skincare needs vary, so it really depends on your skin type, location, diet, and a bunch of other factors that you can Google to help you out. But there are some things that have proven to be essential when it comes to nurturing and nourishing our beautiful faces, and that’s what we’ll be discussing today.

Oil Cleansing
When I first heard about oil cleansing, I was apprehensive, because I already have oily skin. But man oh man, what a game changer. Now, oil cleansing has become a necessary step in my nighttime skincare routine. I use Jojoba Oil (which also has many other uses) for my acne-prone skin, but there are specific oils to use for specific skin types, so make sure to read up on that first. There’s also a process to oil cleansing. You don’t just lather oil on your face and go. So check out this article if you’re interested in learning more and to see whether or not oil cleansing would be beneficial for you.
The Ordinary’s Rose Hip Seed Oil
OK, you guys…this right here? Magic. Shortly before quarantine, I noticed that I was having massive breakouts around my jawline, which only worsened throughout the pandemic. It was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. Months later, I realized I was having a horrible reaction to one of my new products. I came across The Ordinary’s rose hip seed oil not really knowing much about it, but for some reason, I felt inclined to purchase (and it’s cheaper than you think!). Thank goodness I followed my gut, because this has literally been the magic elixir to help nurse my skin back to health. You can read all about the benefits of rose hip seed oil here.
Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen
I have to confess that although I know sunscreen is super important, I rarely ever wore it. Like, even on beach days. I know, I know, shame on me. But ever since I came across Supergoop!’s Unseen Sunscreen that’s changed. This is the first facial sunscreen I’ve used that didn’t feel heavy and gross. I hated how other sunscreens felt like they were suffocating my pores and adding texture to my skin. This is light, smooth, great for all skin types and just glides on after your moisturizer.
