I’m such a nerd for personality tests.
I’ve taken practically every test there is, just out of curiosity, but I must admit that finding out I’m an INFJ really opened new doors for me when it came to understanding why I do the things I do, and also not feeling crazy about it.
If you’ve ever taken the Myers-Briggs test, then you may already know your personality type. There 16 different personality types with this particular test. When I found out I was INFJ (introverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging), I was still a little skeptical. I wasn’t sure everything resonated.
Then, I kept researching more about this (apparently very rare; only 1-3% of the population) personality type.
INFJs are reserved but highly sensitive to how others feel. They are typically idealistic, with high moral standards and a strong focus on the future. Both introverted and people-oriented, emotional and rational, thoughtful yet at times spontaneous, INFJs can feel like walking contradictions.
Bingo. It me.
The more I looked into my personality type, the more I learned about myself, and the more acceptance I began to have with my “contradicting” behavior, because I felt like I was crazy. Turns out, I’m just me.
Now, I always tell people not to take the results of tests like these as life sentences. Even with astrology. These are all blueprints, and helpful guides, but should there be anything you wish to change, you absolutely have the power to. However, you can’t know what it is that you may want to grow out of until you figure out what’s there to begin with.
So, if you’re interested, take the Myers-Briggs test below and find out your personality type. It might introduce you to a whole new part of yourself that you have yet to know.
