Have You Seen Our Exclusive Wellness Webinars?
Experts discuss various topics that you may experience on your healing journey.
During the pandemic, when the world seemed to be in complete chaos and uncertainty, I dove headfirst into deepening my healing practice and providing resources for others.
I figured if we were going to be stuck inside—might as well have the conversations I’d been wanting to have. So, I launched Return to Self’s Wellness Webinar series. Some of the OGs may have been there for the live experience.
At the time, I reached out to various experts to discuss relevant topics on the healing journey—from codependency to effective communication to self-sabotage and more.
Now, all of that goodness is within our exclusive Wellness Webinar Library, which is available for rental, and able to offer exceptional guidance and resources no matter where you are on your journey.
These webinars are your gateway to deeper self-awareness and lasting change.
Here’s what you can find in our wellness library:
Developing Hot and Healthy Intimacy After Sexual Trauma: In this seminar, participants learned how a history of sexual trauma can complicate sexual intimacy for survivors, as well as 6 techniques and strategies for survivors and their partners to help increase sexual pleasure, and reclaim a relationship with sex that is erotic, empowered, and intentional. This seminar was led by Dr. Kate Balestrieri, a Licensed Psychologist, Certified Sex Therapist, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and PACT trained Couples’ Therapist.
Increasing Vulnerability: Dr. Lexx Brown-James is an Amazon best-selling author and a licensed marriage and family therapist. She walked us through the four horseman who sabotage relationships, and how to avoid them. Dr. Lexx also taught us a few techniques to help increase vulnerability and intimacy in relationships by exploring how to communicate hard things, how to be honest vs. truthful, and what that means for relationship enhancement. Dr. Lexx Brown-James {She|Her|Dr} is CEO of The Institute for Intimacy & Sexuality, LLC, where she works to support healing in couples, families, and individuals. Helping to ensure folks build and maintain fulfilling intimate relationships is integral at The Institute.
Codependency: Dr. Sarah Schewitz is a licensed psychologist specializing in love & relationships. She covered how to identify if you or someone you love is codependent (or just empathetic), why codependents always seem to attract narcissistic partners, what to do if you’re in a codependent relationship, and how to start healing codependency now, whether you are single or in a relationship. Effective Communication: Dovid Feldman is a licensed therapist who specializes in building great marriages, and taught us the special formula to implement Effective Communication. Communication is the backbone of connection, yet so often, when we try and express our thoughts & feelings, it falls flat, and can even create more distance. Learn how to connect, heart-to-heart, with your loved ones, so they can finally hear what you are trying to share. His Recreating Intimacy Workshop, which is done alongside his wife Miriam Racquel, helps couples resolve roadblocks to create a loving and connected relationship.

During our webinar, she discussed what self-sabotage is, its biological tie to us, why we do it, how to stop and even provided quick self-sabotage busters you can use in under 5 minutes!
Hypnotherapy: Juliet Obodo, AKA Brain Bae, covered the real reason why you keep attracting the "wrong" person, how to apply the Be-Do-Have Model of Consciousness to love & relationships, & shared 3 things you can do daily to attract more love in your life.

Sheela earned her BS in Nutritional Science with a focus on Herbal Medicine, and a Detoxification Certification from the International School of Regenerative Detoxification led by world-renowned Naturopathic doctor, Dr. Robert Morse ND.
Sacred Masculinity: Jose Alejandro, a mentor of men and co-founder of Modern Renaissance Man, explores the meaning of sacred masculinity, and the energetic shift that allows men to access deep emotions while not being defined by them, what it means to be an open-hearted warrior, how to embrace uncertainty and consciously hold all sides of the equation, while taking steps forward with effectiveness, and what it means to embody our truth and cultivate non-reactive conscious energy, so we can make an intentional impact in the world.
Intergenerational Trauma: Madina Wardak MSW/ACSW is a mental health social worker of Afghan descent based in Los Angeles. She taught us about intergenerational trauma, a documented issue in a number of marginalized communities. Madina studied Political Science with an emphasis on the Middle East, as well as Social Work as it pertains to children, youth & families.
Media Manipulation: If you were one of the 38 million viewers who watched Netflix's The Social Dilemma, you may or may not have been surprised to discover the various ways social media and social networking companies have manipulated human psychology to rewire the human brain. Perhaps now you want to know even more, particularly the ways in which the media affects your personal identity, your sense of self-worth, and your intimate relationships. In this webinar, media psychologist Dr. Corey guides participants through a look at the role of social comparison and perceived similarity via the psychology of media as well as some of the most common triggers that can often lead to stress, anxiety or depression.
