We’ve reached the final installment of why souls choose to reincarnate together.
As you’ve seen through the various parts of this series, there’s a number of reasons we may decide to reunite with familiar souls over the course of lifetimes.
The last reasons we’ll be discussing for this section are: positive service, enmeshment, guilt, and holding onto the heart.
Next week, I’ll be kicking off the next part of our Karmic Connections deep dive, which centers around Relationship Themes.
We’ll be dissecting certain themes and roles that recur time and time again in relationships, including power ploys, betrayal, unconditional love, commitment dilemmas and more.
But, for now, let’s put a bow on the final part of why souls choose to reincarnate together…
Positive Service: Hall states, “Positive service can occur in friendships, families, love relationships or work situations. One person takes on the responsibility of caring for another or performs a task specifically to help the soul growth of the other. (This is the positive manifestation of service. Inappropriate service can occur if the parties become stuck in the helping or enabling scenario.) Positive service may include the opportunity to develop unconditional love, sometimes through one soul playing an extremely difficult role.”
Astrological Indicators: An emphasis on Virgo/Pisces, the Nodes, the sixth house, Chiron, Saturn and Capricorn in either the natal chart or in the synastry.
Enmeshment: “Enmeshment is a situation where two souls are strongly intertwined due to karmic experiences. The souls incarnate together again and again in an effort to clear the situation. Enmeshment occurs:
where relationship karma is unfulfilled or unresolved
if the obligations to a soul for whom one is responsible (as in parent and child) are not fulfilled
where too much responsibility is taken for someone else
where someone who seeks their freedom is held onto
when someone else is blamed for the soul’s own limitations or inability to move forward
in situations where old promises remain
“To hold others culpable for the limitations a soul puts on itself creates a situation where the souls are drawn back time and again as one struggles to become free from the other. One soul may have to learn to stop blaming the other and take responsibility for itself. Another scenario which invites karmic enmeshment is where one person feeds off the other: psychic vampirism. Symbiotic, dependent relationships and situations such as master/slave or marriage where one person owns the other body and soul also create the same problem. The lesson is to let go, even when it is passing for love.
