November is National Men’s Health month, and that got me thinking…
I hold so many healing experiences, both on and offline, and the majority of attendees are usually women. I don’t think too much of it, and assume it’s just because spiritual spaces are more inviting for women.
Then I was like, maybe that’s a limiting belief? Maybe more men would love something that was intentionally set up for them?
I’ve thought about working with men for years now, but in all transparency, I was too afraid. Unfortunately, I’ve had a number of scary experiences with men online that created a lot of fear for me to even consider holding space for just men.
And to be honest, another part of me always assumed that men wouldn’t wanna talk to a woman. Why would they? They’d want to talk to other men who can relate to what they’re saying. Right?
Well, I did an impromptu poll asking men on both Instagram and Twitter if they feel more comfortable being vulnerable with other men or women, and the results were almost unanimous—women.
I also asked if men would be down to attend a healing event if I had one, and a lot said yes (guess we’ll see if that’s true, ey?).
Regardless, the responses truly shocked me, and in that moment I realized that maybe my own wounds were blocking me from holding space for a whole community who may need it.
When you get deeper into it, it makes sense. While it’s great as a woman to revel in the community of other women, it was the divine men in my life who helped me heal my wounded feminine.
So, of course, it would make sense that men who are seeking to heal their wounded masculine would need the assistance of a divine feminine.
With all that said, I quickly got to work and set up a free virtual healing experience called Creating Legacy. This will be a men’s only event (sorry, ladies).
During this event, we’ll have an open discussion on what’s currently weighing heavily on the hearts and minds of attendees, and end with a collective Reiki session to clear blocks in the body and mind.
Fellas, I truly hope you give yourself the gift of this one hour. Just one hour where it’s all about you and your mental, emotional and spiritual health.
Ladies, if you know a man who could benefit from this, please feel free to pass along.
And who knows? If this ends up being helpful, maybe it can be a recurring thing.
All I know is I’m answering the call. Will you?
