Who else has been itching for a vacation?
With everything going on in the world, everything we’ve had to endure and experience these last few years, we’re overdue for some peace, joy and relaxation.
I haven’t had a truly relaxing vacation in nearly 5 years (!!), and while we all know just how much of a privilege and luxury travel is, especially now, that doesn’t mean we don’t deserve to make it a priority.
One of the things I love about travel is who it brings out in me. It’s like being in a foreign place gives me permission to become someone else, although it’s still me, just parts of myself that maybe I suppress at home. I’m not sure, it’s weird, but maybe you can relate.
I still remember when Return to Self was born. The very moment it happened. I was sitting at a coffee shop with my friend planning out all the different events I wanted to curate that year—one of which was a wellness retreat.
I know at this point they can seem cheesy and gimmicky, but you know I’m with the shits, so it was very intentional. It included various healing experiences and workshops while also implementing time for adventure, excursion and reflection.
Immediately, I told him, “We’ll call it Return to Self.”
This was at the top of 2020, so as you can imagine, my exciting venture was quickly put to a halt, but I decided the name came to me for a reason, and it became what we now know today.
However, as life goes, the things that are meant to happen always find their way back around in divine timing, so the Return to Self retreat is officially back on track!
I’m SUPER excited to currently be in the process of curating a retreat with TrovaTrip! They help host retreats all over the world, and have vetted all activities and excursions to uphold their ethics and sustainability standards.
Retreats take a long time to put together, and currently I’m in the research phase, which is where you come in.
In order to move forward with this retreat, I need at least 100+ responses to this quick survey in order to compile information on what my community would want from a retreat—this includes location, activities, length of the trip, time of year, budget and more.
We have over 44 countries to choose from, y’all! And I’m telling you right now, I’m trying to hit every single spot.
You just have to be over 18 years old to do the survey, and be willing to budget at least $2,000 for a retreat. I know that is a substantial amount of money, but remember, it’s not all due at once, and you’ll have at least 7-8 months to save up and plan (that’s roughly $10 a day!).
There are no strings attached to doing the survey. It’s strictly for my benefit in choosing the most aligned itinerary for y’all, so please help me out by taking a few minutes to fill it out, and pass it along to all of your friends who you think could benefit!
Thank you again for helping support my dreams so that I can pour back into you.
