Shadow Work Series: Techniques to Help You Navigate Your Shadow
Because the journey continues...
We’ve come to the end of our Shadow Work series, but that doesn’t mean the work is done.
As I’ve explained in prior posts, shadow work is not just a course you can complete and then be done with. It’s a committed long-term relationship with someone you may not always see eye-to-eye with.
It’s a crash course on understanding, empathy, compassion and discipline.
For better or worse, your shadow will never leave your side, making this is a lifelong experience that (hopefully) gets easier over time. And if you’re lucky, you may even become buddies with your shadow to create win-win scenarios.
Regardless, life is a dance. Sometimes you’re taking two leaps forward just to take three steps back, but that doesn’t mean you’re not making movement in the right direction.
When old patterns or habits come back around, there’s no need to judge or shame yourself. Just make a mental note on what took you to that place and cha-cha your way back.
You don’t know what the MapQuest directions to your soul purpose is in this lifetime. You’re not going to understand the sharp lefts and detours you may have had to take.
All you can do is learn to sharpen your discernment along the way, so that you don’t mistake a pit stop as the destination and get in your own way.
