This Scorpio Full Moon is exposing whatever has been buried beneath the surface.
Scorpio governs depth—our emotional undercurrents, our desires, our fears, and the unseen forces that shape how we relate to power and intimacy. At its highest expression, it is the courage to feel fully, to be honest about what lives within us, and to allow transformation to take place.
But under a Full Moon, depth can reveal its shadow.
This is the moon that illuminates the ways we protect ourselves from being seen. The places where we grip for control to avoid vulnerability. The attachments we hold onto long after they’ve begun to transform.
A Full Moon brings what has been hidden into view. It reveals the emotional patterns operating beneath our awareness—the places where fear, power, and desire quietly influence the way we connect, withdraw, and hold on.
Below you’ll find the three shadow work prompts we used in our Shadow Work Through Tarot & Poetry circle at Feybl last night, which are designed to help you work with this energy through tarot and generative writing.
Hold each prompt in your mind’s eye as you pull a card, and allow the symbolism to guide your reflection. Let the card be your compass, and the page be your sanctuary.
If you don’t work with cards, that’s OK. Use these prompts to help you spark a dialogue with your subconscious.
There’s no right or wrong way to do this. All it asks of you is to be honest.
Where do I override my truth in order to maintain connection?
Where do I feel compelled to burn something down rather than sit with what it’s asking of me? Scorpio’s shadow can seek release through rupture—ending, cutting off, sabotaging—as a way to regain control or avoid vulnerability.
Pull a card to explore:
What feels intolerable to sit with
Where destruction feels easier than transformation
What this impulse is trying to protect
Where am I trying to hold power, even if it costs me my softness or truth?
This asks us to examine control, manipulation, emotional guarding—the places where power replaces intimacy.
Pull a card to reveal:
Where you grip, withhold, or control
What you fear losing if you let go
The difference between power and protection
What part of me is ready to die—so that something new can be born?
Scorpio governs cycles of death and transformation. Not surface change— identity-level release.
Pull a card to illuminate:
What is complete, even if you resist it
What identity, story, or attachment is dissolving
What unknown self is waiting on the other side
