A full moon is upon us, so you know what that means…
This Friday evening will mark the first of two Aquarius full moons during Leo season. Yes, this is not your usual occurrence, but with everything that’s happened the last year and a half, what even surprises us anymore?
Consider these two full moon events as a spiritual alley-oop by the cosmos, with the first full moon on Friday setting you up in perfect alignment for a slam dunk near the end of August.
Leo and Aquarius are sister signs (opposite of each other on the astrological wheel), so they complement each other in various ways. While Leo, ruled by the Sun, loves to be the center of attention and praise, Aquarius (ruled by Saturn) would rather be on the outskirts minding their own business with little care as to what society deems as praise-worthy.
A perfect example of this is the movie She’s All That. Yes, I’m aging myself, but also you’re welcome, because it’s great.
Freddie Prinze Jr.’s character—Zack—is the Leo archetype (popular, cool, center of attention) and Rachael Leigh Cook’s character—Laney—is your Aquarius (innovative, unique, off in her own world). If you’ve watched the movie, then you know that bringing these two together seemed unrealistic, because they seemed like complete opposites, but by doing so, valuable lessons were learned for each of them.
So, this first Aquarius Full Moon in Leo season will encourage us to be radically true to ourselves, and to be willing to be an outsider without the need of public approval. How can you embody and harness that Leo shine in a way that is authentically you? How might you be dimming your shine to find public acceptance?
See, Zack taught Laney how to be comfortable with public attention and being seen. Laney taught Zack how to be authentic without fear of public perception or approval. Because the truth of the matter is you can have both without sacrificing who you truly are.
As I’ve mentioned, with Full Moon rituals, we release. We do this by writing down intentions on what we’re releasing and burning the paper (safely) to transmute the energy. You can write any intentions you want, but I’ve included some below that align with the energy of the Aquarius Full Moon to get you started.
Please make sure to write your intentions in present tense. No “I will” or “I want” or “I’m going to,” as these phrases set the intention on the longing for whatever you’re releasing, instead of the actual release.
Once you’re done writing your intentions, it is very important to include the full closing clause at the end, written by one of my favorite astrologers Danielle Ayoka.
Aquarius Full Moon Intentions (written on a piece of paper that you will burn afterwards):
I release all energetic ties, emotional bonds and connections that are not in alignment with my highest good.
I release all fears of inadequacy
I release all outdated patterns
I release all blockages preventing me from being one with myself
I release all sabotage energy stemming from all internal and external origins and influences
I release all creative blocks and fears holding me back from my purpose
I release all blockages preventing me from being in alignment with the destiny that is most fulfilling & in alignment w/ my highest good
I release all energy beliefs and patterns creating any apathy in my existence
I release all energy beliefs and patterns blocking my self expression and creative expression
I release all energy patterns & beliefs blocking my sovereignty
Closing Clause:
I release all implants, imprints, templates, thought forms, frequencies, energetic agreements, karma, trauma, chords, vibrations and patterns that resonate with the energy associated with my intentions on every layer of my existence, and out of all my chakras, major and minor, all layers of my aura, all of my subtle bodies of energy, my higher and lower self, ego, consciousness and awareness. I declare all these things to be so and in perfect alignment with my greatest and highest good. So it is.
After the clause, burn the paper safely and feel the energy leaving your body. Some of these intentions are heavy, so please make sure to rest and drink water afterwards. Physical symptoms may arise. The process of moving energy is different for everyone.
If you’re interested in hearing what the cards have to say about the Aquarius Full Moon, join me for an oracle reading Friday night at 6 pm PST on @divinelightcouncil’s IG Live.
A quick announcement for all of my Los Angeles friends—Divine Light Council is holding our first LA event on August 8!
It will be an all-day event, full of various healing experiences, vendors, and more.
I’ll be facilitating a live Reiki experience meditation for the first time ever, alongside powerful sound healers Jacob Harrell and Cristina Tulumis. I will also be doing donation-based 1:1 readings during the event.
I hope to see you there!
