One of the sweetest New Moons of the year comes to us on Thursday as Venus and Jupiter make a conjunction in Aquarius.
As the New Moon approaches on the 11th, the energy and planet placements leading up to Thursday may have already been affecting you.
If this day has already been a bit trickier than you’d like, it’s not random. Mercury, which is in retrograde right now, is square to Mars as of this morning, which can be an uncomfortable aspect. You may find yourself in a challenging conversation or receive a piece of information that doesn’t feel great to hear, but it’s probably exactly what you need to know for what’s to come.
Thursday’s New Moon in Aquarius begins a new Jupiter-Venus cycle in Aquarius for the first time in decades. This means pleasureable union and abundant bounties coming your way. Taking some time away from work can help you find the solutions that you’ve been working to find. Be still.
In fact, astrologer Chani Nicholas suggests not working at all if possible this week. This New Moon will be an initiation of bigger cycles, not just collectively, but individually.
If you feel like you’re in the unknown, surrender to the emptiness. You’re going to be filled with the information you need once you’ve cleaned the slate. Trust in letting go.
Pause, and pay attention to the energies and messages you’re receiving with the New Moon, because this will guide you on where to move forward.
Now, for those of you who’ve done these New Moon rituals, you know what to do. If you haven’t, here’s the necessary information you need to move forward.
Unlike the full moon ritual, where you set intentions on what you want to release and burn your list, new moon rituals are what you want to manifest and bring in. There will be no burning.
What you will need is a completely unused notebook (if you already have a New Moon journal, you’ll use that same one for this ritual). There cannot be any pages used or torn out. This will become your new moon journal and can only be used for new moon intentions. Once you’ve decided which new notebook you’ll dedicate to your new moon intentions, you’ll consecrate, or pray, over the journal.
Put your right hand over the journal, and say to your higher self, "I dedicate this journal to manifesting my new moon intentions." Boom. Done. You only need to do this once. Again, it’s super important that you don’t use this notebook for anything else!
Now, remember that when you write your intentions, you don’t want to use phrases like “I will,” “I want,” “I wish,” etc. as that will only manifest the longing for whatever you put down. Make definitive statements when phrasing your intentions: "I am," "I have," "I manifest," "I transform," "I create," "I make," "I attract."
You can begin this ritual today, and have until end of day Sunday to complete it.
You can write whatever intentions you’d like, but here are some optional intentions you can use that align with the Aquarius New Moon energy (c/o @mysticxlipstick):
My position in society is in perfect alignment with the highest good of my vision and purpose.
I am aligned with the social networks that are in perfect sync with my purpose and career goals.
I easily attract business opportunities and business growth through my social standing.
I attract and maintain healthy, supportive and mutually beneficial friendships and social connections.
I transform all unhealthy patterns, dynamics and ways of relating in my friendships and social connections.
I attract friendships that are authentic and transparent.
I attract like-minded individuals in alignment with my goals to help the community with (insert cause).
I attract connections that support my passion for (insert cause).
I have the funding and opportunities I need to reach the people who need my assistance.
I attract fulfilling and healthy romantic relationships into my life.
Once you’re done writing your intentions, seal it with the following clause: "I give thanks to the Universe for all of these intentions fully manifesting in perfect alignment with my highest good. So it is."
Now, put your notebook away until next month’s new moon, and trust that the intentions you’ve written down are already being manifested for the highest good of all involved.
Also, Friday is the Lunar New Year (the Year of the Ox), so Happy Lunar New Year to those who celebrate!
