We got another moon ritual fo’ dat ass. I know, that’s not my usual greeting. Blame it on Aries season.
On that note, you may have noticed your energy shift this week. Maybe you’re a bit sassier? Maybe you’ve been drawn to wearing more gold jewelry or vibrant yellow and orange clothing? Maybe you’ve just wanted more radiance in your life?
None of that is by accident. According to the planetary placements, that is very much the mood this week.
Additionally, the astrology of this week, according to Chani Nicholas, is guiding us to learn how to lead in our lives. Ask yourself—what does being a leader mean to me?
This Aries New Moon on Sunday is a wonderful time to reclaim your personal power, own your strengths, and redefine who you are in a way that aligns with your authenticity. Integrity is everything here. For those of you who’ve been watching my latest readings, you might have noticed that courage keeps coming up. That’s because this is the season to be brave.
A great leader is a great mentor, as Chani puts it. It’s a very Aries thing to be the one to take risks and do something first. Sometimes, forging ahead on a new path means having to leave everything else behind. However, with Chiron (the wounded healer) in the mix this week, it’s saying hold on…don’t forget the power that comes with staying put and articulating what hurts. Again, not every journey is a distant travel. Sometimes it’s a journey to untouched territory within you. So perhaps the courage needed for this new moon is not so much walking a different path, but voicing the pain inside.
Remember, bringing the shadows to light is the way to heal.
This is a time to prioritize integrity, courage and power. Do your actions match your beliefs? Are you brave enough to take the risks needed to make it so? And how might you redefine what power looks like for you?
Now, for those of you who’ve done these New Moon rituals, you know what to do. If you haven’t, here’s the necessary information you need to move forward.
Unlike the full moon ritual, where you set intentions on what you want to release and burn your list, new moon rituals are what you want to manifest and bring in. There will be no burning.
What you will need is a completely unused notebook (if you already have a New Moon journal, you’ll use that same one for this ritual). There cannot be any pages used or torn out. This will become your new moon journal and can only be used for new moon intentions. Once you’ve decided which new notebook you’ll dedicate to your new moon intentions, you’ll consecrate, or pray, over the journal.
Put your right hand over the journal, and say to your higher self, "I dedicate this journal to manifesting my new moon intentions." Boom. Done. You only need to do this once. Again, it’s super important that you don’t use this notebook for anything else!
Now, remember that when you write your intentions, you don’t want to use phrases like “I will,” “I want,” “I wish,” etc. as that will only manifest the longing for whatever you put down. Make definitive statements when phrasing your intentions: "I am," "I have," "I manifest," "I transform," "I create," "I make," "I attract."
The Aries New Moon is on Sunday, so you can do your ritual now, or wait. You have until Wednesday to complete it.
You can write whatever intentions you’d like, but here are some optional intentions you can use that align with the Aries New Moon energy (c/o @mysticxlipstick):
I take appropriate and beneficial action without hesitation.
I make decisions standing in my authority with ease.
I assert myself and my boundaries in a healthy and beneficial way that is in perfect alignment with my personal power and highest good.
I own my power in a way that enables me to confidently take action on things that are in alignment with my highest good.
I transform all aspects of weakness in myself and in my character inhibiting me from fully owning and embracing my power.
I am safe to make decisions that put me in perfect alignment with my power and highest good.
I fearlessly welcome new experiences that are in alignment with my highest good and personal power.
I transform all aspects of my self that stifle my growth.
Once you’re done writing your intentions, seal it with the following clause: "I give thanks to the Universe for all of these intentions fully manifesting in perfect alignment with my highest good. So it is."
Now, put your notebook away until next month’s new moon, and trust that the intentions you’ve written down are already being manifested for the highest good of all involved.
