April welcomes us this week with a new moon in Aries.
Aries season and the Spring Equinox ushered us into a celestial new year, making this new moon especially potent when it comes to new beginnings in your life.
“Under the energies of the Aries New Moon, think about what you want to start, what seeds you want to plant, and set your intentions for the months to come. Know that the opportunity for a do-over, for a fresh new slate is on offer if you want it.”
This is a beautiful time to remind yourself of the role you play with your manifestations—you’re the co-creator with the Universe.
If you approach your life like a creative project, remember that the outcome is the result of this partnership. Are you doing your part and what’s in your control? Are you surrendering what is not your job and trusting that it’s still getting done?
Although the new moon lands on April Fool’s Day, there’s no joking around when it comes to your dreams. Sometimes we can downplay our desires out of fear that we won’t receive them, that we’re not worthy of them, that we wouldn’t be able to sustain them even if we did get them.
If these limiting beliefs or core thoughts come up for you, lean into them.
This new moon is meant to ignite our sensitivities and ask us to confront deep triggers or even trauma due to its alignment in the sky with Chiron, an asteroid symbolizing the “wounded healer” in Greek mythology.
As some of you might already know, Chiron in your birth chart shows where you may hold some of your deepest pain, and also where you have the potential to heal yourself and others (look at what house it’s in first, and then the sign). Activated by the new moon, it’ll now push us to reflect on where and why we’ve internalized that pain.
Do your best to avoid resisting Chiron’s energy. Facing your pain at this time, in whatever way feels right for you, may reveal more rewards than you realize.
Another notable cosmic event during this new moon is Jupiter and Neptune coming together for a rare event that will shape the rest of the year to come. No pressure.
Together, “Jupiter and Neptune represent collective awakening and heightening our psychic senses. A new moon also has the ability to enhance our intuition, so we are likely to feel extra sensitive and very connected to higher worlds.”
Remember, you are not powerless by any means. Allow the fire from Aries and Mars (its planetary ruler) to fan the flame and refuel your passions so that you can remember who you are and what you’re capable of.
Now, for those of you who’ve done these New Moon rituals, you know what to do. If you haven’t, here’s the necessary information you need to move forward.
Unlike the full moon ritual, where you set intentions on what you want to release and burn your list, new moon rituals are what you want to manifest and bring in. There will be no burning.
What you will need is a completely unused notebook (if you already have a New Moon journal, you’ll use that same one for this ritual). There cannot be any pages used or torn out. This will become your new moon journal and can only be used for new moon intentions. Once you’ve decided which new notebook you’ll dedicate to your new moon intentions, you’ll consecrate, or pray, over the journal.
Put your right hand over the journal, and say to your higher self, "I dedicate this journal to manifesting my new moon intentions." Boom. Done. You only need to do this once. Again, it’s super important that you don’t use this notebook for anything else!
Now, remember that when you write your intentions, you don’t want to use phrases like “I will,” “I want,” “I wish,” etc. as that will only manifest the longing for whatever you put down. Make definitive statements when phrasing your intentions: "I am," "I have," "I manifest," "I transform," "I create," "I make," "I attract."
You have from today until end of day Monday to complete it.
You can write whatever intentions you’d like, but here are some optional intentions you can use that align with the Aries New Moon energy (c/o @mysticxlipstick):
I take appropriate and beneficial action without hesitation.
I make decisions standing in my authority with ease.
I assert myself and my boundaries in a healthy and beneficial way that is in perfect alignment with my personal power and highest good.
I own my power in a way that enables me to confidently take action on things that are in alignment with my highest good.
I transform all aspects of weakness in myself and in my character inhibiting me from fully owning and embracing my power.
I am safe to make decisions that put me in perfect alignment with my power and highest good.
I fearlessly welcome new experiences that are in alignment with my highest good and personal power.
I transform all aspects of my self that stifle my growth.
Once you’re done writing your intentions, seal it with the following clause: "I give thanks to the Universe for all of these intentions fully manifesting in perfect alignment with my highest good. So it is."
Now, put your notebook away until next month’s new moon, and trust that the intentions you’ve written down are already being manifested for the highest good of all involved.
As always, I’ll be going live on IG Friday evening at 5 pm PST to do a reading for this new moon.
Until then, take care of yourself and dream big!
