Unlike some of the other full moons we’ve experienced, the Capricorn Full Moon occurring on Thursday, June 24, seems to come bearing gifts (that hopefully don’t require ripping open spiked packages).
Because this Full Moon is sextile to Jupiter—a planet associated with growth, expansion, healing, prosperity, good fortune, and miracles—there is a theme of good fortune, optimism and generosity. I would be remiss to avoid mentioning that there are some challenges with the astrological aspects of this full moon, though. Mainly, Venus opposite Pluto and Saturn square Uranus.
Venus’ placement highlights your need for love and affection, but in a way that can show up through manipulation, power struggles, possessiveness and intimidation. While these tactics may get your desired reaction, it probably won’t last long, and will not be conducive to the evolution of your soul. Remember, spiritual journeys are not about quick fixes.
Saturn’s placement with Uranus is waning, which is a good thing, but there will still be a few more weeks of tension until the final square on December 24, 2021.
Regardless, this full moon will still bring more harmony than conflict.
This is a good time to socialize and share your intuitive feelings and understanding of others. New friendships with genuine, honest, and even influential people who can help you succeed may arise. This is also a good moon to expand your horizons through education and travel.
Traditionally, Capricorn Full Moons usher in themes of authority in our personal life—both with others and with ourselves. For this reason, something to reflect on for this full moon might be how comfortable you are with your inner voice and sovereignty?
As I’ve mentioned, with Full Moon rituals, we release. We do this by writing down intentions on what we’re releasing and burning the paper (safely) to transmute the energy. You can write any intentions you want, but I’ve included some below that align with the energy of the Capricorn Full Moon to get you started.
Please make sure to write your intentions in present tense. No “I will” or “I want” or “I’m going to,” as these phrases set the intention on the longing for whatever you’re releasing, instead of the actual release.
Once you’re done writing your intentions, it is very important to include the full closing clause at the end, written by one of my favorite astrologers Danielle Ayoka.
Capricorn Full Moon Intentions (written on a piece of paper that you will burn afterwards):
I release all blocks preventing me from having full access and trust to my inner authority.
I release all ways I reduce and stifle my sovereignty over my life.
I release any influences and energies stifling my inner authority and personal power.
I release all ways I belittle my own authority, voice and thoughts.
I remove any fears, beliefs and mindsets creating false narratives that belittle and block my inner power and authority.
I release any fear that prevents me from authentically speaking my truth.
I remove any patterns, ways of being, blocks and limiting beliefs that are preventing me from standing in my power.
Closing Clause:
I release all implants, imprints, templates, thought forms, frequencies, energetic agreements, karma, trauma, chords, vibrations and patterns that resonate with the energy associated with my intentions on every layer of my existence, and out of all my chakras, major and minor, all layers of my aura, all of my subtle bodies of energy, my higher and lower self, ego, consciousness and awareness. I declare all these things to be so and in perfect alignment with my greatest and highest good. So it is.
After the clause, burn the paper safely and feel the energy leaving your body. Some of these intentions are heavy, so please make sure to rest and drink water afterwards. Physical symptoms may arise. The process of moving energy is different for everyone.
