New cycles seem to be the theme this year.
The astrology leading up to this Libra Full Moon on Sunday is pretty powerful (when isn’t it, I know), but according to famed astrologer Chani Nicholas, we’ll be experiencing a new cycle within our lives from something that was happening 8 years ago.
Aries season brings renewal, which will be extra potent in the areas of relationships and intimacy because of Venus’ placement right now.
Libra is all about relationships, balance and justice, and is ruled by Venus. With Venus making a conjunction with the Sun in Aries this week, we will be starting a whole new cycle in this part of our charts that could be related to what happened 8 years ago (2013).
Another significant aspect leading up to this Libra Full Moon is the fact that Chiron, the wounded healer, is all up in the mix, too.
Chiron will get purified and start a new cycle by entering the heart of the Sun later this week when Venus and Chiron make a conjunction around the time of the Full Moon.
So, wtf does this mean?
It means that both Venus and Chiron will get recharged. As Chani puts it, it will highlight “the pain that may become a portal for greater self-awareness, for how fragile life is, and how none of us are above our pain.”
Some backstory on the myth of Chiron…
Chiron was known to be the great healer, but experienced a wound that was too great for him to heal, so he asked for mortality to be freed from that pain. Chiron in our natal chart is usually a signifier of the deep wound we are trying to heal in this lifetime, and so we usually look at Chiron as the wound that teaches us how to become a great healer.
But here’s the thing…just because he couldn’t bear to heal that one wound doesn’t discredit the fact that he was already a great healer, so it also highlights how a lot of pain we experience is not justified, and may never be. It’s often not easy to contextualize suffering.
As much as we’d like to easily see and understand why certain wounds happen, Chiron is messy, and instead invites us to be more nuanced in the understanding of our own wounds and in each other’s.
Because of Chiron’s Venus conjunction, these could be wounds related to the feminine, women, art (the way we create), culture, and relationships.
In short, this is a week of healing, and because of Mercury placements throughout the week, it’s also a ripe time for helping us understand how our communication can go left.
As I’ve mentioned, with Full Moon rituals, we release. We do this by writing down intentions on what we’re releasing and burning the paper (safely) to transmute the energy. You can write any intentions you want, but I’ve included some below that align with the energy of the Libra Full Moon to get you started.
Please make sure to write your intentions in present tense. No “I will” or “I want” or “I’m going to,” as these phrases set the intention on the longing for whatever you’re releasing, instead of the actual release.
Once you’re done writing your intentions, it is very important to include the full closing clause at the end, written by one of my favorite astrologers Danielle Ayoka.
Libra Full Moon Intentions (written on a piece of paper that you will burn afterwards):
I release all sabotage energy blocking me from lucrative business opportunities and collaborations.
I release all sabotage energy blocking me from experiencing healthy romantic and platonic relationships.
I release all energy blocking me from resonating with healthy relationships and interactions with others.
I release all energy, beliefs and mindsets that put me at enmity with the law of my country and residence.
I release all energy, mindsets, modes of operation and beliefs that attract negative and non-conducive interactions with the law of my residence.
I release all mindsets, trauma, modes of being and relating that support codependent relationships.
I release all energy signatures, energy and ways of being that block me from being recognized and acknowledged for my efforts in my workplace and career.
I release all stifling energy tainting and unhealthily redefining my creativity.
I release all mindsets, trauma, modes of being and relating that stifle or suppress my inner Divine Feminine.
I release all energy, mindsets, trauma and modes of being that make me feel unsafe in being my authentic Self.
I release all energy, mindsets, trauma and modes of being that block me from healing my inner wounds.
Closing Clause:
I release all implants, imprints, templates, thought forms, frequencies, energetic agreements, karma, trauma, chords, vibrations and patterns that resonate with the energy associated with my intentions on every layer of my existence, and out of all my chakras, major and minor, all layers of my aura, all of my subtle bodies of energy, my higher and lower self, ego, consciousness and awareness. I declare all these things to be so and in perfect alignment with my greatest and highest good. So it is.
After the clause, burn the paper safely and feel the energy leaving your body. Some of these intentions are heavy, so please make sure to rest and drink water afterwards. Physical symptoms may arise. The process of moving energy is different for everyone.
You have from tomorrow until Thursday to do the ritual.
