Today marks the Pisces New Moon!
For those who may not know, Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and for that reason is associated with transcendence and spirituality, so you can expect an excavation of sorts with this new moon as it is rooted in deep emotional healing and new beginnings.
Don’t be frightened. That’s not to say that this will be another heavy purge, at least not for everybody.
This is really a time when things will be illuminated within your soul. You can only fully let go of that which you’re willing to own up to and take responsibility for. If you choose to remain in denial, projection, or victim mentality about the circumstances of your life, it will only reinforce and perpetuate the same cycle you are attempting to heal from.
In addition to an energy of new beginnings (especially with spring right around the corner), there’s a lot coming up to the surface with this new moon due to some other astrological placements happening right now.
The most significant of these aspects is the triple conjunction of Pluto, Venus and Mars at 27 degrees of Capricorn.
This is a highly charged degree, and marks the first Pluto Return for the United States in our lifetime (this began Feb. 20ish). The last time Pluto was in Capricorn at 27 degrees was during the signing of The Declaration of Independence. Yeah, kinda nuts. America’s shadow work is comin’ in hot!
Pluto is the great revealer. It will fuel purging, exorcising, and releasing buried power or core truths.
That means that, both personally and collectively, how we deal with issues related to power, privacy, group finances, transformation, the shadow, secrets, manipulation, trust, and intimacy are the sole focus right now. Meanwhile, Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) is specifically related to all things business, government, structures, regulations and patriarchy. Not too surprising considering what the world is experiencing right now.
Karma isn’t wasting any time with these energies, and you may notice that the reflection of your choices will come back at you quicker than usual. This is also due in part to Mars and Venus also being at exactly 27 degrees Capricorn at this time. As I’ve mentioned in a previous post, Venus and Mars represent the Goddess and God, respectively. This is a time of balancing our divine feminine and divine masculine energies.
In addition to Venus and Mars being conjunct for much longer than usual (roughly 3 months as opposed to 10 days), Venus usually conjuncts with Pluto once a year, and Mars every other year, so this is a very rare and special occasion that all three are playing house together under the same exact sign and degree.
All that to say—this is a time that is sure to spark incredible transformation and change, whether you’re ready for it or not.
Now, for those of you who’ve done these New Moon rituals, you know what to do. If you haven’t, here’s the necessary information you need to move forward.
Unlike the full moon ritual, where you set intentions on what you want to release and burn your list, new moon rituals are what you want to manifest and bring in. There will be no burning.
What you will need is a completely unused notebook (if you already have a New Moon journal, you’ll use that same one for this ritual). There cannot be any pages used or torn out. This will become your new moon journal and can only be used for new moon intentions. Once you’ve decided which new notebook you’ll dedicate to your new moon intentions, you’ll consecrate, or pray, over the journal.
Put your right hand over the journal, and say to your higher self, "I dedicate this journal to manifesting my new moon intentions." Boom. Done. You only need to do this once. Again, it’s super important that you don’t use this notebook for anything else!
Now, remember that when you write your intentions, you don’t want to use phrases like “I will,” “I want,” “I wish,” etc. as that will only manifest the longing for whatever you put down. Make definitive statements when phrasing your intentions: "I am," "I have," "I manifest," "I transform," "I create," "I make," "I attract."
You have from today until end of day Saturday to complete it.
You can write whatever intentions you’d like, but here are some optional intentions you can use that align with the Pisces New Moon energy (c/o @mysticxlipstick):
I am in perfect alignment with the spiritual path that is the healthiest and most conducive for my growth, well-being and happiness.
I have all the tools, knowledge and resources I need for my inner growth and spiritual development.
I transform all aspects of myself that are harming me spiritually, emotionally and energetically.
I have healthy boundaries with myself and others mentally, emotionally and energetically.
I transform all fear, pain and trauma into healthy catapults for growth, learning and happiness.
I transmute all lower vibrational ways of being that are blocking me from my healthiest path.
I fully embrace my creative potential healthily.
I am completely free to healthily express my emotions.
Once you’re done writing your intentions, seal it with the following clause: "I give thanks to the Universe for all of these intentions fully manifesting in perfect alignment with my highest good. So it is."
Now, put your notebook away until next month’s new moon, and trust that the intentions you’ve written down are already being manifested for the highest good of all involved.
