Hello, you.
How’ve you been feeling? I hope well, but chances are you may have experienced some anxiety, exhaustion and overwhelm these last few days. If that’s true for you, don’t worry. You’re not alone, and it may not be what you think.
There’s a lot of cosmic events happening this week, including a Taurus New Moon and partial solar eclipse this Saturday, April 30.
We won’t be able to see this eclipse in North America, but according to astrology, an eclipse, whether visible or not, affects the entire world, and this one can serve as a supercharged New Moon.
This partial solar eclipse kicks off the Taurus-Scorpio eclipse season, which will last until October of this year. Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius placements may experience these shifts stronger than other signs, however everyone will gain access to deeper wisdom through these cosmic events in whatever way necessary.
One way you can see what areas of your life this will highlight is to see what house Taurus rules in your birth chart.
Normally, as you know, it’s advised to not do any manifestation rituals with eclipses, because the energy can be so chaotic, but from everything I’ve read, this specific New Moon and partial solar eclipse is a very benevolent aspect, so trust your discernment.
It may be better to go with the flow and trust what the Universe brings your way this time around, or if there’s something specific you really want to set intentions on (especially if it has to do with money), then this may be a good time to do it.
There’s a sense of surprise and unexpected outcomes with this solar eclipse because of its close activation with Uranus. Now, that can go either way, of course, but Jupiter and Venus will also be aligned for this cosmic event, which adds sweetness to the energy of this new moon.
Venus is the planetary ruler of Taurus, and Jupiter is all about expansion, so there’s opportunity for amazing things to unfold here.
If you’re not feeling up to doing a whole ritual for this one, that’s totally OK. Just do your best to stay grounded and centered on the intention of receiving. Open the gates of allowance to truly harness the energy that we’re experiencing.
Now, for those of you who’ve done these New Moon rituals, you know what to do. If you haven’t, here’s the necessary information you need to move forward.
Unlike the full moon ritual, where you set intentions on what you want to release and burn your list, new moon rituals are what you want to manifest and bring in. There will be no burning.
What you will need is a completely unused notebook (if you already have a New Moon journal, you’ll use that same one for this ritual). There cannot be any pages used or torn out. This will become your new moon journal and can only be used for new moon intentions. Once you’ve decided which new notebook you’ll dedicate to your new moon intentions, you’ll consecrate, or pray, over the journal.
Put your right hand over the journal, and say to your higher self, "I dedicate this journal to manifesting my new moon intentions." Boom. Done. You only need to do this once. Again, it’s super important that you don’t use this notebook for anything else!
Now, remember that when you write your intentions, you don’t want to use phrases like “I will,” “I want,” “I wish,” etc. as that will only manifest the longing for whatever you put down. Make definitive statements when phrasing your intentions: "I am," "I have," "I manifest," "I transform," "I create," "I make," "I attract."
The Taurus New Moon is on Saturday, so you three days leading up to it and three days following to complete the ritual.
You can write whatever intentions you’d like, but here are some optional intentions you can use that align with the Taurus New Moon energy (c/o @mysticxlipstick):
I am financially secure and stable in every avenue of my life.
I have more money than I can spend.
My environment is safe and secure for me to establish and sustain all of my material needs.
I am mentally and emotionally secure, stable and safe.
I attract healthy, stable, long-term relationships and commitments.
I understand, accept and embrace my self-worth.
I attract business and personal relationships that recognize and honor my worth.
I create long-term stability in every area of my life easily and confidently.
I transform all beliefs that block total stability.
I transform all beliefs blocking me from manifesting and sustaining long-term, healthy and fulfilling relationships.
I transform all beliefs creating poverty in any area of my life financially, emotionally and materially.
Once you’re done writing your intentions, seal it with the following clause: "I give thanks to the Universe for all of these intentions fully manifesting in perfect alignment with my highest good. So it is."
Now, put your notebook away until next month’s new moon, and trust that the intentions you’ve written down are already being manifested for the highest good of all involved.
I’ll be going live on Sunday, May 1 at 5 pm PST to do a reading on this cosmic event on Instagram, so tune in if you’re available!
Lastly, this is the last week to purchase your early bird tickets for the Return to Self Live Show in LA. As of May 1, tickets will go up to $50.
Guests will be fed with homemade Lebanese food (vegetarian options will also be available), be part of the studio audience for the final episode of season two, including a collective reading, as well as gain first access to Return to Self’s signature uni-sex perfume oil in collaboration with Coyote Wild at over 30% off.
As always, I hope you have a beautiful week and take care of yourself.
