Welcome the energy of yet another full moon, my friends.
The Virgo Full Moon will hit its peak on Friday, but I’m willing to bet that a lot of y’all have been feeling it already.
In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising if you’ve been feeling shifts since the Pisces New Moon at the beginning of the month.
The Virgo-Pisces pairing is perhaps one of the more (if not the most) sensitive axis, and centers around themes of service, compassion, and kindness.
With the sun (our ego) in Pisces (the most spiritually advanced sign of the zodiac) and the moon (our emotions) in Virgo (a sign of self-improvement), we are called to cleanse and purify ego-driven actions so that we can move into a place of true collective service to create Heaven on Earth.
On top of that, the sun’s recent conjunction with Neptune may bring up a lot of fear, shadow work, and feelings of deception, trickery and heavy emotions that were buried deep below the surface.
There’s a lot that has been happening in the cosmos that could lend to feeling exhausted and disoriented, so if that’s something you’ve been experiencing, know that you’re not alone and that it will pass.
Self-care at this time is crucial. Please listen to your body and rest.
This is also said to be the sixth and final full moon at 27 degrees.
It’s stated that “27 is the number of the bodhisattva, the enlightened being who helps others to enlightenment. Combining the divine feminine 2 with the 7 of intuition and wisdom to create the 9, the completion of a cycle and beginning of the new.
“The number adds to the extreme spiritual, yin, and healing potential in this lunation. We are each called to embody our bodhisattva nature, to be of spiritual service to the interconnectedness of all on Earth.”
So many aspects of this moon point to solidifying our destiny, so surrender to the process. It’s OK if you have no clue what’s going on or where you’re headed. It’s also OK if doubt is taking over.
I’m going to share a poem by Rumi that my therapist shared with me:
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
As I’ve mentioned, with Full Moon rituals, we release. We do this by writing down intentions on what we’re releasing and burning the paper (safely) to transmute the energy. You can write any intentions you want, but I’ve included some below that align with the energy of the Virgo Full Moon to get you started.
Please make sure to write your intentions in present tense. No “I will” or “I want” or “I’m going to,” as these phrases set the intention on the longing for whatever you’re releasing, instead of the actual release.
Once you’re done writing your intentions, it is very important to include the full closing clause at the end, written by one of my favorite astrologers Danielle Ayoka.
Virgo Full Moon Intentions (written on a piece of paper that you will burn afterwards):
I release all trauma, programming, beliefs, habits, anger or pain creating or increasing any anxiety I experience.
I release all habits, patterns, beliefs, soul contracts and energetic agreements sustaining and creating anxiety within me.
I release all chords and energy passed through the chords that are creating anxiety within me.
I release all unhealthy patterns and habits causing me to be disorganized.
I release all trauma, pain and conditioning causing me to feel scattered and unsafe.
I release all beliefs about my reality, myself and about my life that are creating chaos in my environment.
I release all trauma, pain, resentment and beliefs that cause me to fear losing control.
I release all trauma, pain, and beliefs that causes me to overextend myself for others.
I release all trauma, pain, conditioning and fear that causes me to neglect my needs.
I release all unhealthy beliefs, attitudes and fear surrounding meeting my own needs.
Closing Clause:
I release all implants, imprints, templates, thought forms, frequencies, energetic agreements, karma, trauma, chords, vibrations and patterns that resonate with the energy associated with my intentions on every layer of my existence, and out of all my chakras, major and minor, all layers of my aura, all of my subtle bodies of energy, my higher and lower self, ego, consciousness and awareness. I declare all these things to be so and in perfect alignment with my greatest and highest good. So it is.
After the clause, burn the paper safely and feel the energy leaving your body. Some of these intentions are heavy, so please make sure to rest and drink water afterwards. Physical symptoms may arise. The process of moving energy is different for everyone.
You have from today until Monday to do the ritual.
