Happy Monday, friends!
I hope this weekend provided you with whatever your mind, body and soul was needing (and for many of us, that meant rest).
This week’s reading warms my heart for many reasons, but primarily, I love that it’s all about emotions, because today is also the Cancer Full Moon.
Have you done your ritual yet?
As you may already know, the moon is Cancer’s home, and when there’s a full moon in Cancer, the emotions are sure to follow.
Normally, that can make people hate Cancer Full Moons, and understandably so. Depending on what needs to be released, this can be really heavy energy moving through us and incredibly uncomfortable to not only acknowledge, but express.
However, these cards feel like a promise of the goodness that’s coming to fill the space you’re creating by being brave and persistent about truly letting go of whatever is asking to be shed.
I spent three hours at the park yesterday, hanging out with my favorite tree and reconnecting with nature. The grounding was so necessary, especially during such a heightened time of emotion.
When these cards came out for this week’s reading, the immediate message was about emotional fulfillment.
For whoever resonates with this message, you’ve been wishing and desiring more emotional fulfillment, specifically partnership. And I want to remind you that there’s nothing wrong with desiring partnership, romance and a relationship. Our culture has made it almost shameful to want that, and that’s just ridiculous.
It is in our nature to desire partnership. It doesn’t take away from your independence. Just make sure the desire doesn’t stem from a place of codependency.
Regardless, the cards are reassuring you that your emotional wishes are being granted. However, I highly suggest doing the Cancer Full Moon ritual if you haven’t already, because there still may be some subconscious blocks to allowing this partnership to fully manifest, and it may have to do with parental wounds.
Intuitively, I’m getting the sense of an enmeshed relationship with a parent. If this resonates with you, you’re being asked to lovingly cut chords and detach yourself from this parent by setting firm boundaries. Somewhere along the way, this parent has taken the role of your partner, placing their unmet emotional needs on you, and without realizing it, taken up space in your life that would normally be for a romantic partner.
Learn more about parental enmeshment here.
There’s also a sense that for some, there’s a parent who couldn’t meet your needs (whether it was emotional bids as a child or simply caring for you and showing love), and so a pattern of expecting romantic partners to show up for you in the way you needed that parent to was created, and has cultivated obstacles in moving the relationship forward.
This isn’t to judge or shame anyone. Most of the time this is unconscious. However, if partnership is what you seek, you need to “break up” with the parental figure who continues to put you in a role you never wanted to be in, or who you continuously try to redeem through your partners. There are attachment wounds that have been clouding your ability to fully show up and be open to intimacy with someone else.
By releasing this, you create more space for internal balance within your feminine and masculine energy, and also call in a divine partner.
And I do mean divine.
The Crown Chakra card here tells me this is all divinely guided, and for whoever this message is for, there’s a fated connection that is awaiting you. But first, you have to clear your energy from blocks to this partnership.
The numerology of this reading is a 9. According to numerology, “the energy of the number 9 represents completion, but not finality. Think of it more in a cyclical sense; it's about the ending of one cycle and the potential it creates for another cycle to begin.”
How fitting, right?
