Happy Monday, my friends.
As always, I hope this weekend provided you with ample rest, balance and nourishment. Additionally, I hope this Libra Full Moon and Easter Sunday (if that’s something you celebrate) was insightful and grounding for you.
I voluntarily went to Easter Mass on Sunday for the first time in probably 20 years, which was interesting. As many of you who listen to my podcast know, I was raised Catholic, however I found early on that it didn’t align with me. I can’t say that much has changed with that aspect, but it was still nice to experience with friends.
In other news, if you’ve been feeling very stagnant lately, then chances are this reading is for you.
The energy for this upcoming week may highlight this sort of lingering pause that you may be feeling. Perhaps you’ve been feeling discontent and bored with the lack of tangible change in your life. It almost feels like you instinctively know a shift is on the horizon, but nothing’s happening.
This can easily bring up feelings of restlessness and impatience, understandably so, but the cards are reminding you that just because it seems like nothing’s happening, doesn’t mean that’s what’s actually going on.
Remember, you don’t have the full picture of all the pieces that are being moved around so that things can fall into place.
At this time, where you may find yourself longing for change, remember to stay present. Change is inevitable, it’s the only certainty of life, so trust in knowing that it’s happening. In the meantime, enjoy where you are. I understand that things may be frustrating, especially if circumstances are not ideal at the moment, but again, this is all temporary.
What if instead of focusing on whether or not you’re going to get to where you’re trying to go, you became intentional about appreciating where you are? Don’t let this part of the journey pass you by. What one person may consider boredom, another person identifies as peace. What one person may believe is stagnancy, another person knows is quality time with Self.
Something I never noticed before on the Discontent & Boredom card is the rainbow reflection on the ground. That stood out to me during this reading, and it made me think of the chakras. There’s alignment happening. There’s balance happening. There’s healing happening.
It also made me think about how often we turn our backs on the beauty that these moments have to offer, because we’re so focused on seeing a particular outcome. This man has his back turned to the gorgeous views and natural beauty of the moment, because he’s too preoccupied with what’s not happening. Change your perspective. What are you not allowing yourself to appreciate during this time? What are you taking for granted?
There are things falling into place that are necessary. There’s wisdom that is being acquired. There are teachers and opportunities being placed on your path. Pay attention to the synchronicities. These aren’t by chance. These aren’t a coincidence. They’re God winks.
This week is showing you that you’re still on the right path, so forge ahead. Try to let the worry and stress go, and focus on the present moment. What is actually in your control at this time? Triumph is yours if you’re willing to claim it, embody it and take aligned and inspired action towards it.
Remember, life is a dance. Sometimes you lead. Sometimes you surrender and follow.
The numerology of this reading is a 7. According to numerology, “the number 7 is the sign of the intellect, thought, psychic analysis, idealism and wisdom. This number first needs to gain self-confidence and to open his/her life and heart to experience trust and openness in the world. And then you can develop or balance the aspects of reflection, meditation, seeking knowledge and knowing.”
Additionally, in astrology, Libra is associated with the number 7 as its the seventh sign in the zodiac, so we love that alignment with the full moon, too!
As always, there’s a new Return to Self podcast episode, this time featuring wellness educator and Chopra Chief Impact Officer Devi Brown!
You'll need the Kleenex again for this one…
Devi opens up about how her upbringing made the idea of joy & play unnatural for her for a very long time, which I deeply resonate with, and prompted me to share a very vulnerable fear of mine that brought me to tears.
As many of you know, I’m hosting the first-ever Return to Self podcast live show in LA next month! The date has been confirmed for Friday, May 13. RSVP below to get first dibs on early bird passes, which will go live this week. If you’re not in LA, you will have the option to livestream the event!
