Greetings loved ones, welcome to another week and another opportunity to align with your chosen path.
As always I’m here to share the oracle message for this upcoming week, and it looks like doors will be opening for many of us when it comes to our relationships (romantic or otherwise).
Let’s get into it, shall we?
Yet again, we got Surrender to the Sweetness, which has been a common card that’s come up during Taurus season. We’re really being asked to lean into the sweetness, pleasure and joy in our lives, however for this week, it feels more tied to allowing certain doors to open (or close) so that we can embody that Venusian energy moving forward.
There are some apologies that need to be made. For a lot of you, you’re waiting for one. You’ve been wronged by someone near and dear to your heart and that’s caused a block for you. For others, you’re the one who may need to do the apologizing. And while this feels directed at another person, it can also be an apology to yourself.
Regardless of which end of the apology spectrum you land (maybe both), what you do with that apology is what’s important. While there can be a lot of anger beneath this situation, and perhaps rightfully so, ask yourself how that anger may be serving you.
As I’ve mentioned many times before, anger is a secondary emotion. It’s the bodyguard for the deeper, more vulnerable emotions that we don’t want to admit or face, whether that’s rejection, loneliness, abandonment, sadness, and more. However, at this point, you already know there’s no moving forward if you can’t even face what’s coming up. Suppressing will continue to keep you in this loop of victim mindset, blame, betrayal and powerlessness.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying your anger isn’t valid. Hear me when I say that your emotions are always valid. Always. But your behaviors may not be.
Read that again.
In coaching, I teach how our thoughts determine our emotions and our emotions determine our action or result. While your emotional experience is always “right” for you, that doesn’t give you a free pass to be a shitty person. There’s a pause there that needs to happen. A reflection. A single moment that can alter the entire course, should you choose.
So perhaps, the defensiveness, the anger, the fire that’s been brewing deep down inside, can be looked at again with a fresh lens and perspective. What’s your ideal outcome? As the Portal card reminds us, you get to decide. There’s no right or wrong answer here, it’s free will. But if the action or result isn’t what you desire, then take responsibility and accountability for where you may have played a part in that. That’s part of the self-love journey.
What rewards do you want to manifest through this situation? What can you do on your end to make that a reality?
I’ve been binge-watching In Treatment on HBO (highly recommend), and I’m always stunned by the amount of conflict that arises, and how they continue to meet week after week. It makes my avoidant ass want to run. But each time, I’m so shocked to see how the bonds become deeper and deeper throughout it all.
Healthy conflict opens the door to deeper intimacy. This is when monumental change happens.
I say all this to you, because some of you may have that deciding moment this week, and I want you to remember this post. I want you to picture my face (as egotistical as it sounds, lol) and ask yourself, “OK, how do I want to show up here that will bring me closer to my desired outcome?”
All it takes is one breath, one pause and one decision. I know you can do it, and I hope you realize you deserve it.
Xo.
Alas, we have come to the season finale of the Return to Self podcast. So crazy, right?
It feels like just yesterday that I announced this new venture, and here we are, 12 episodes in, one season down, and a number of meaningful conversations experienced along the way.
For the finale episode, I talk to a really cool girl. She’s pretty awesome, I think you’ll like her. She had a lot of interesting things to say. Hopefully you enjoy this last episode as much as I did.
Lastly, I made a typo on the Taurus New Moon ritual. It’s actually tomorrow (although the New Moon energy is alive and well today), so make sure to get your rituals in and join me for an IG Live reading on @DivineLightCouncil at 6 pm PST tomorrow to see what this new moon has in store for us.
Take care of yourselves, love on yourselves, and have the week you deserve.
