Happy Monday, friends.
As always, I hope this weekend replenished your mind, body and soul in whatever ways you needed.
Can you believe August is almost over? As we prepare to close out another month, and begin to slowly shift into a new season, you may find your inner world doing a similar transition as well.
The message for this week’s reading came through quick and direct—and it’s all centered around perspective.
This week is asking you to approach situations through a new lens, one that you’ve carefully and diligently been working to cultivate.
If this message is for you, you’ve been working hard to reframe and rewire your impulses, your coping mechanism, your survival tactics and your patterns. Much of this might have to do with mindset shifts, and there’s a great Mel Robbins quote that I want to share with you about this…
“Here’s the thing about mindset—a mindset will not change the shitty situation you’re in. A positive mindset changes you, which changes your ability to deal with the shitty situation that you’re in.”
As I’ve mentioned before, your thoughts trigger your emotions which trigger your actions (or inaction), which is why there’s a lot of emphasis on being mindful of where your mind goes.
The cards are guiding you to be intentional with your thoughts this week. While it may be easier to go on autopilot and take the path you’re used to, you must also acknowledge that doing so at this point of your journey would be a choice. That’s the thing about self-awareness…it is a great gift and a heavy burden all at once.
The saying ignorance is bliss is popular for a reason. There’s truth there.
Again, this is a shame-free zone, so it’s OK if you find yourself slipping into old patterns and behaviors. This stuff doesn’t change overnight, but you must be as committed to this as you are with your career, your relationships and your aspirations, and take responsibility for how you may play an active role in your suffering.
Come from a place of gratitude as much as you can this week. Maybe you start your mornings by writing down what you’re grateful for or choose to end your days by reflecting on what happened that made you feel grateful for your life. Either way, the emphasis is focusing on the positive instead of falling victim to your intrusive and ruminating thoughts that perpetuate and feed your fears.
I checked bottom and top of the deck just to see what came up, and sure enough we got the shadow card at the bottom and spiritual cleansing at the top. This is a huge shedding that you’re going through, and quite a beautiful one. Remember, just because things are changing rapidly doesn’t mean it has to be dramatic. Allow these shifts to unfold naturally and gracefully.
It’s time to break out of that cocoon you became used to and fly.
The numerology of this reading is a 6. “The number 6 is the embodiment of the heart. It represents unconditional love and the ability to support, nurture, and heal. It is a powerful force of compassion and empathy and its warm light is a beacon of hope. Its role is to use its heart and soul to be of service to others.”
We now have TWO spots open for those of you who’d like to save $150 on our Return to Self Costa Rica retreat for next year! Join us for some ziplining, a cacao and coffee tour, sunset boat ride, healing and more!
I hope you all have a fantastic week.
