Happy Monday, friends.
I hope you enjoyed your weekend after a rush of energies came at you with the Aries Solar Eclipse and new moon, Mercury going into retrograde and the beginning of Taurus season.
The good news is there aren’t any major astrological transits for this week, so you can rest assured in letting out a deep sigh and allowing any energetic turbulence to slowly even out throughout these next seven days.
Remember that we’re still in eclipse and retrograde energy, though, so take it easy and try to be patient with how things unfold.
If you’re curious as to what areas of your life are being affected by these transits, see what house is ruled by Aries (eclipse) and Taurus (retrograde). The themes of those houses can show you where you may be experiencing a clean slate for a fresh beginning and a rewind for deeper reflection.
Before I dive into this week’s reading, I wanted to make mention of two things:
Our retreat to Costa Rica kicks off this week, which means there won’t be a newsletter or any services available for the next two weeks. I know, I’ll miss you, too.
If you haven’t already, check out my new ebook Deconstructing Shadow Work to help guide you through the shadow work journey!
OK, let’s get into this week’s reading—
I love seeing this Seven of Cups in reverse again, because that tells me that there’s deeper clarity coming to the surface for whoever this message is for. This also feels related to last week’s reading, so if you resonated with that, maybe reread for a full picture.
When the Seven of Cups appears in reverse, it suggests that confusion and illusion are being lifted, and you’re becoming more grounded and focused. You might be moving away from indecision and unrealistic expectations and starting to gain clarity on what you truly desire.
This card can also indicate that you’re learning to trust your intuition and not get carried away by your fantasies.
There’s a feeling that this last week brought up some emotional blocks that you’ve been holding on to—whether that be scarcity, fear of the unknown and/or avoidance of change.
You may have had experiences recently that highlighted where you tend to hold on to old habits or patterns as a defense mechanism or coping mechanism without realizing it.
When the Eight of Cups appears in reverse, it suggests that you may have been stuck in a situation that you know is not serving you, but you had a hard time letting go.
For that reason, you might have been holding onto emotional baggage or fears surrounding any uncertainty, which ultimately has been preventing you from moving forward.
Alternatively, this card can indicate that you’re on the cusp of making a major change in your life, but are hesitating to take the final steps.
That hesitation is understandable, because you may have been flooded by doubt.
The Two of Swords can represent a difficult decision being on the table, and it creating mental conflict. You might be weighing your options, but are feeling uncertain or blocked.
This card suggests the need for balance and impartiality when making this decision, as well as the need to trust your own intuition and inner guidance. It can also indicate a need to communicate and negotiate in order to resolve conflicts and find common ground.
With the Two of Swords, there’s often hidden information that causes you to be one foot in and one foot out.
However, as we mentioned earlier, this is a time for restoration, clarity, alignment and putting an end to any illusions, so anything that is not aligned with the highest truth for you will be revealed so that you can embark on this new journey wholeheartedly.
The guidance for this week is “let it flow, let it grow.”
Sometimes it’s difficult to see which step to take next, so ask for guidance. Allow your inner compass to take the lead by leaning into the pings and signs that are revealed to you.
There’s also a feeling of not necessarily sharing this information with too many people (if this is a specific offer that comes your way).
That’s not to plant any seeds of fear or doubt, but just to remind you that the more people you share this with, the more projection you’ll be opening yourself up to, so try to sit with this by yourself first to see what comes up for you without any influence by anyone else.
At the end of the day, this will require trust, faith and surrender as you allow the currents to take you on this journey so it can unfold naturally.
There’s Scorpio (Venus) energy here, as well as Libra (Moon) and Pisces (Saturn) energy, so these placements may be significant for you or someone else connected to this reading as additional confirmation, but they don’t have to be.
The numerology of this reading is a 8. In numerology, 8 is “the achiever and measures life by the goals it reaches. It has good business sense, a powerful presence, and a strong drive for success. The 8 is also a symbol of balance—you can see it in its symmetrical shape. For every blessing it receives, it puts one back out to the Universe.”
Have a beautiful few weeks, and take care of yourselves!
