And just like that—July came and left in the blink of an eye.
Happy Monday, beloved. I hope this weekend replenished your mind, body and soul in whatever way you needed it most.
Before we dive into all of the mystical magick of this week, I want to remind you that this will be the last weekly reading open to unpaid subscribers. If you want to continue having access to these weekly newsletters, in addition to bonus content, make sure to click that subscribe button below!
The cost of the monthly subscription is the same as an iced oat milk latte with simple syrup (yes, I know this from personal experience), and it will go directly into helping me continue this work, which I love doing, so your contribution means a lot.
As always, thank you for your support!
Now, let’s get into this week’s astrological transits—
The big astrological transit of the week comes tomorrow on August 1, and it’s the Aquarius Full Moon.
August is slated to be quite the illuminating month (pun intended), because it will start and end with a full moon, and they’re both supermoons!
Supermoons occur four times a year when the moon is closest to the Earth, and appears slightly larger and brighter than a regular full moon.
This year offers us a rare experience, because the four supermoons are occurring consecutively, with the first one occurring on July 3 and the last one coming on September 29.
Not only that, but you know the saying once every blue moon? Well, get ready, because that Blue Moon is coming on August 30. A Blue Moon occurs whenever there are two full moons in one calendar month, so the second full moon this month will also embody that energy (more on that later).
For now, the first full moon happening tomorrow in Aquarius will help bring you closer to where you ultimately want to be. You may feel more inclined to make changes that align with where you see yourself on a macro level within the world.
You may also find your relationship with your emotions a little more complicated, because Aquarian energy comes with a strong need for emotional freedom. However, when it comes to relationships within your life, this full moon may help you understand your feelings and free yourself from negative emotions such as fear, anger and jealousy.
This full moon will be especially potent for those with prominent Aquarius, Scorpio, Leo and Taurus placements around 9 degrees.
This week’s reading—
The correlation between this week’s full moon and the card reading is nothing new, and yet still so exciting to see. It’s almost like everything is connected or something?
When I asked for the energy of this week, we got the Queen of Cups. Don’t be afraid to tap into your emotions as you move through this week. Chances are you’ll be feeling a lot more compassionate, empathetic and supportive than usual.
Your intuition may also be more heightened this week, so trust in the guidance that you’re receiving and allow it to lead you.
When I asked what this energy is stemming from, we got the Knight of Swords in reverse. Either you or someone close to you went through a period of being incredibly unfocused. There may have been a lot of reckless or impulsive behavior that led to unfortunate circumstances.
With the Knight of Cups in reverse at the bottom of the deck, this is coming from inner turmoil that was bleeding onto others. There may have been a lot of disappointments, unrealistic expectations and jealousy fueling this situation, in addition to avoiding conflict.
Overall, the intention may have been in the right place, but the execution was immature and tactless.
The advice on how to make the most of this energy is the Eight of Pentacles—focus on what you are working towards and put in the work to make it a reality.
One of the things I loathe about modern-day manifestation talk is the idea that you just ask for it and then wait around for it to magically happen. That’s not how this works. Again, this experience is a co-creation, which means you can ask for what it is you want to experience, and the ingredients to make that experience happen for you will be provided, but you have to be the one to take what’s being given and turn it into the feast you’re starving for.
Cooking is a great metaphor for this, because anyone who’s been in the kitchen knows that it takes skill, focus and patience to execute a delicious meal. Sometimes it also takes a lot of trial and error.
Continue to pour into mastering your craft this week. You’ve been working so incredibly hard, so don’t downplay what you have developed over this time. Dedicate yourself to the vision you see and put in the hard work of showing up differently than you’re used to. Keep your standards high and commit to the reality that you wish to experience.
With the Four of Cups in reverse at the top of the deck, this week is offering you a new outlook on your circumstances. The clarity and awareness that you’ve been seeking will be given to you, but are you going to recognize it when it comes?
Now is the time to accept what has happened in the past and let it go, so you can choose happiness and a new story moving forward.
The guidance for this week is “what are you waiting for?” and “practice.”
These two cards came out together, which tells me they’re referring to the same thing, and it makes complete sense.
For those of you who resonate with this reading, you may struggle with perfectionism or paralysis by analysis. You may overthink everything to the point that you do nothing.
This is a defense mechanism of yours that needs to be let go of.
Stop creating the entire narrative by yourself in your mind to release you from doing the scary thing of taking action and surrendering to the uncertainty. The only truth is that you don’t actually know what’s going to happen, which is why you keep trying to tell yourself the ending to prevent yourself from ever actually finding out.
That self-sabotage may have kept you safe in the past, but now it’s getting in the way of everything you claim you want, and you know this. It’s OK to not have a fully mastered plan. How could you possibly know what to do when you’re trying to do something you’ve never done before?
Sometimes all you actually need is the courage to try and the grace to know that no matter what happens, you’ll know what to do.
You may have gotten comfortable being the person working towards their dreams, but it’s time to become the person who’s actually living it.
There’s Cancer energy here, as well as Gemini energy, Virgo (Sun) energy, Pisces energy and Cancer (moon) energy, so these placements may be significant for you or someone else connected to this reading as additional confirmation, but they don’t have to be.
The numerology of this reading is a 3, yet again. In numerology, 3 is “highly original and embraces unique thinking and creative expression. This number's artistic, curious nature allows it to convey abstract ideas and find solutions others may miss. A child at heart, the number 3 never misses a chance to have fun, engage with others, and express all the love and joy it embodies.”
No more holding yourself back.
Have a beautiful week and take care of yourself!
